My veins are bursting with light.
My skin drips the blue I smear across my eyelids
The music glides through the crowd
Like a foggy memory,
Once I feel it,
I never forget
A little girl crawls out of my heart
Like a worm from the core,
She feeds,
Leaving it dry
She waits for me to show her what she’s missing
When strangers dissolve into the neon lights
And my heart dances with the lovers a row below
It echoes in my head,
No one’s ever really dead
